I know that I’ve been absent for quite some time and I apologize for it. When I decided to relaunch my Sims website I was fully committed to my storylines and to creating content that the community could enjoy. I am still fully committed to it, but I have some demons that I face. Some days are good, some days are bad. Some days turn into weeks and weeks into months and I find that I’m spiraling down the rabbit hole, trying desperately to find up from down and left from right. It’s not anything I can control, I wish I could, but it is something that I manage most days, most weeks, and even months, but sometimes I just can’t manage at all.

I decided to re-release the dormitory I created a few years ago when University Life released. I was not happy with how dorms where presented in the game, I thought they were much too small and didn’t really fit what University life is really like.

This build has 16 dorm rooms, 4 shared kitchens and bathrooms, 3 computer labs, 1 common area, a gym, and a laundry room.

I tried to keep this relatively CC content free however there are a few pieces you will need which I have linked below. I have all the EPs and unfortunately, I didn’t make a note as to what I used BUT I did try to stick to mostly University Life content.

If you find that the websites for custom content no longer exist, please just comment below to let me know and I will do my best to locate the custom content and upload it for use…

It has been such a long day! I forgot how much of a pain in the ass moving is but I adore my house and this little community! After a few mishaps with work, I decided the best thing to do was leave and seek employment elsewhere, so I am now an architectural designer, which has been a life long dream! I am so glad I am able to express my creativity while also helping others to realize their homes true potential. I haven’t had much business thus far but I think once I start picking up clients, I will see an uptick in my schedule. For now, I am considering doing a side job to bring in some additional funds until I have fully established myself in the community…

Our story begins with Genevieve Quinn or Gwen for short. Gwen has just recently moved to a lovely neighborhood in Cape Gardner where she works as a firefighter. Presently Gwen doesn’t have much of a social life, as work tends to take up all her time, but she is hoping to remedy that. She plans on spending a few days introducing herself to her neighbors and hopefully this will lead her to find viable, long-lasting friendships. She’s not putting too much pressure on herself as she knows these things take time, but she truly believes that this is the fresh start she needs…

Admittedly I spent far too much time downloading custom content to ensure that I had the perfect clothes, objects, decor, etc. before I could even consider starting a new household. I might have a slight problem with custom content that may have to lead me to consider, on occasion, starting a Sims Custom Content Anonymous group, but I digress. Despite all of these challenges, I managed to finally complete the Sim who will start the beginnings of a story, an outlet, that I’ve needed for far too long.

I do want to caution readers, that some of the content I post will NOT be PG or PG-13. In fact, it will most likely be NC 17. If this is the case, I will ensure that the posts are labeled and tagged appropriately. I will have several different stories AND challenges going on simultaneously, all of which will have content that could possibly be rated NC-17+, however, the content is likely just subtext and won’t contribute to the larger storylines. Likely.

There are a few aspects that readers need to be aware of as I have customized my settings in a specific way to ensure story longevity…

I‘m about to age myself but I figure once you become the mom of fraternal twins, there really is no going back, so admittedly I’ve been playing the Sims since the first iteration; when it was owned and developed solely by Maxis and Electronic Arts wasn’t even a blip on it’s radar. So due to that fact, I’d say I have fairly good knowledge of the Sims or in this case, the study of them. My original Sims website started with the name Simbolical, I was desperate, if it wasn’t obvious, to find clever play on words or in my case, a word, for my website. But if I’m completely honest, it never really appealed to me. A few years, later, okay, more than half a decade later, and here I am with a new iteration of my website, with a name that actually bears meaning: Welcome to Simology- the study of all things Sims.

My goals for this website are simple. I hope to journal my families, while also working on my building skills and sharing said builds with anyone who takes the time to stop by and visit. When it comes to CAS, I’d rate my skills on a scale of 1-10, around 7-8, as that was namely my focus several years ago. As far as building, well, let’s just say I’m learning and hope that I’ll be able to grow those skills as I journey into new territory.

For the time being this website is likely to host namely Sims 3 content. The reason for that is simple, I already have a bunch of the mods and custom content for Sims 3 and none presently for Sims 4. Eventually, when time allows, I’ll start hunting down custom content and mods for the Sims 4, though given what I feel is a crippled game, most of my gameplay is bound to remain in Sims 3. It’s a superior experience, in my opinion, and I just feel like EA took short cuts with Sims 4, diminishing a lot of the customization and creativity that you can find in the Sims 3. Still, I recognize that there are many who have moved on to Sims 4 and admittedly I do own the game, including all the stuff, game, and expansion packs, excluding the most recent, so I’d be doing not only myself but the community a disservice, if I didn’t also include Sims 4 content.

In the meantime, feel free to explore our community and if you’re feeling particularly adventurous, check our our social media presence and join our Discord community, it’s a great way to find others who also like to play with life, I mean, what exactly do you have to lose?
